CGBF Supports OSU’s CSM Class 2009
(Construction Systems Management)

As part of its on-going effort to Green curriculum, CGBF co-developed a three credit level, Green Construction course for the Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering department at OSU in 2009. The partnership with CGBF provided the students with opportunities to tour cutting edge green projects, participate in on-site trainings and become involved with the local neighborhood for service learning projects.

During the Spring and Fall quarter courses in 2009, CGBF conducted Green tours, on-site trainings & Green building lectures for the students and the general public every Friday. As part of their service learning project at Weinland Park, the students formed into two groups, each examining the costs & benefits of energy retrofit measures and a green roof to enhance the performance of an existing Chapel that has been converted into a community career center.

CGBF is making the students’ final presentation work available here, as their goal was to disseminate this information to the wider community as well.

If you are a local school (K-12), University or College and would like to partner with CGBF to:

  • Green your class curriculum,
  • Engage your students in green service learning opportunities,
  • Provide your students practical insights on building Green through on-site trainings and lectures,
